Promising Hip Hop artist Cavalli Boss is counting down the days for his forthcoming album No Diamonds Allowed. The record that includes already released singles “Angel Numbers,” “Pink Cocaine,” and “Missing Halo,” will come out December 12, 2022.
In an exclusive interview with PopCultr, Boss shares more details on his new LP and talks about his favorite tracks, hobbies, occupations, and passions.
In your opinion, what is the number one quality to possess for an artist, and why?
The number one quality is sauce; it’s in you not on you, for real. You can’t buy it, you are born with it.
How did “Angel Numbers” come to life?
The beat was made by two producers from live plants; one recorded the biorhythms and the other one composed the beat. I wrote the song making a statement about receiving angelic signs through synchronicities. Inspired by and overcoming temptation, rising to the next level gaining the attention of my peers. Letting them know I have the aura of a star. When I say my only opportunities are in mansions. I’m saying I’m not concerned with street politics. My focus is to show my talent next to the successful artist.
How is the preparation of your upcoming album going, any interesting details to share with us?
It’s been busy. I put my soul into my music. I try not to treat projects as work more like art. I feel like Basquiat when I paint pictures. You have to block outside influences. So when people hear my music they know it’s Cavalli Boss.
What’s your favorite track from your own repertoire?
It’s hard to say every song is like my child. But if I had to choose it would be “ Cemetery Of Rolexes” or “Basquiat’s Girlfriend“ at the moment.. I don’t go back listening to my music, I move on and write more constantly.
What are your top 3 tracks from other artists on your playlist right now?
Montell Fish – Hotel
Brent Faiyza – All Mines
SZA – Shirt
Besides music, what are some of your favorite hobbies, occupations or passions?
I’m an entrepreneur at heart and love art, different paintings, and sculptures. Passions are vintage fashion Vintage movies and designing clothes. I like rock and r&b Lowkey too.
Looking back at your life and the many struggles you had to face and overcome. What are some of the most important lessons learned along the way that help you when creating music?
It’s a blessing in every lesson. Make your demons work for you.
