METTE Unveils Captivating New Single “BET”: A Reflection on Self-Love and Empowerment

METTE, the Ivor-Novello nominated sensation, continues to captivate audiences with her latest offering, BET. Following the success of her previous single “MAMA’S EYES”, METTE’s newest track delves into themes of unrequited love and the transformative power of self-discovery.

“‘BET’ was born during a time when I felt invisible, and I was experiencing unrequited romantic love in the dating game. In the session with my co-writer Lauren Aquilina and producer Zhone, I was venting and hypothesizing how I might achieve a reciprocal dose of affection from the person I longed for. I remember saying, ‘One day, I bet they’ll fall in love with me!’ I realize now that ‘BET’ was meant to remind me that self-love is worth betting everything on.”

The track is a testament to METTE’s evolving artistry and her ability to weave personal narratives into compelling musical experiences. Building on the momentum of her debut EP “METTENARRATIVE”, which received widespread acclaim, METTE’s trajectory shows no signs of slowing down.

Named Spotify’s Pop Rising Artist To Watch for 2024 and featured in Amazon’s Breakthrough UK: Artists To Watch lineup, METTE’s star continues to rise. Her recent nomination for an Ivor-Novello Award further solidifies her status as a creative force to be reckoned with.

As she gears up for festival performances and stages around the globe, including The Great Escape Festival, Lightning in a Bottle, Pukkelpop, Lowlands, and Reading & Leeds, METTE’s presence in the music scene remains unparalleled.
