This forthcoming release marks IU’s return to the solo scene after her December 2021 mini-album, ‘Pieces’, which featured a collection of previously unreleased tracks. Notably, the artist also treated fans to her fifth full-length studio album, ‘Lilac’, in the same year.
Scheduled to hit the airwaves on February 20 at 6pm KST, ‘The Winning’ is already generating buzz, with fans eagerly anticipating the musical journey IU is set to embark upon. The album is expected to include IU’s recent single, ‘Love Wins All’, a track that made its debut last week along with a music video starring V from the renowned K-pop boyband, BTS. IU recently provided insights into the casting of BTS’ V in a behind-the-scenes clip, shedding light on the creative process behind the visually striking music video.
Adding to the excitement, IU’s mini-album is set to precede her ‘H.E.R.’ world tour, which kicks off two weeks later. The singer-songwriter has mapped out an extensive tour schedule, spanning 29 concerts across Asia, Europe, and the US from March to August 2024.
Meanwhile, girl group (G)I-DLE has treated fans to a visually striking 2NE1-inspired music video for ‘Super Lady’, the lead single from their second studio album, ‘[2]’.
