Nicki Minaj Unveils Album Art for “Pink Friday 2”

Nicki Minaj, the Grammy Award-nominated rap queen, is revving up the anticipation for her highly awaited fifth album, “Pink Friday 2,” and it’s all about the vibrant hue of pink.

The rap queen recently took to her social media channels to unveil the album’s cover art, and it’s a captivating sight. In the image making waves, Nicki Minaj can be seen aboard a sky train, gripping tightly onto the handrails while dressed in an all-white ensemble. The unique twist? She’s on a roofless carriage that hovers above the dreamy, cotton-candy clouds, with a sparkling cityscape visible in the distance. And if that doesn’t have fans buzzing, there’s a surprise in store. “Album cover #1 of 2,” she excitedly mentions in her Instagram post.

Mark your calendars for November 17, as that’s when “Pink Friday 2” is set to make its grand entrance. But fret not, because Minaj has already gifted fans with a taste of what’s to come by dropping a few tracks from the album, including “Super Freaky Girl,” “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” and “Last Time I Saw You.”

Minaj had previously unleashed her inner pink vibes with “Barbie World,” a mega-hit collaboration alongside Ice Spice and Aqua, featured on the Barbie soundtrack.

“Pink Friday 2” serves as the sequel to Minaj’s chart-topping debut studio album from 2010, and it marks her first full-length release since 2018’s “Queen,” which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned hit singles like “Chun-Li” and “Good Form.

Nicki Minaj isn’t holding back on her confidence leading up to the album’s drop, boldly declaring, “Just know that ‘Pink Friday 2’ is going to be the best album that’s been released in years.”

Earlier this year, the Trinidadian artist expressed her gratitude to her dedicated fanbase and hinted at an exciting tour planned for 2024. “I love you guys so much,” she expressed. “I am so grateful for the years of support & love you guys have given me. At times maybe I didn’t even deserve all that you have poured into me. Nonetheless, you. will. love. this. album. I will give tour details closer to that time, but obviously, the tour will start around the first quarter of 2024.” Initially slated for an October release, the album’s launch date was shifted to mid-November.
