Sabrina Carpenter unveiled her latest music video for the single “Please Please Please” . The song’s video features Barry Keoghan, Carpenter’s rumored boyfriend, who plays a troublemaker constantly in and out of jail for bank heists and brawls.
Directed by Bardia Zeinali, the video captures a narrative where Keoghan’s character is frequently arrested, with Carpenter faithfully picking him up after each release. The chorus of the song highlights themes of pride and disappointment with the lyrics: “Heartbreak is one thing / my ego’s another. I beg you, don’t embarrass me, motherfucker / Please, please, please.” The video concludes dramatically, with Sabrina Carpenter securing Keoghan to a chair and silencing him with tape over his mouth.
The track, produced by Jack Antonoff of Bleachers and known for his work with Taylor Swift, is part of Carpenter’s upcoming sixth album, “Short n Sweet,” which is set to release on August 23. “Please Please Please” follows the earlier release of the viral track “Espresso” from April.
Both Carpenter and Keoghan have been seen together at high-profile events, including last month’s Met Gala and the Vanity Fair Oscars party in March, where they walked the red carpet but posed separately. Keoghan also supported Carpenter during her performance at Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour in Singapore in March and was spotted with her at Coachella in April.
