Adele Announces a Hiatus After Concluding Her Las Vegas Residency

Adele has declared that she plans to take a significant break from music following the end of her “Weekends With Adele” residency in Las Vegas, which is scheduled to conclude on November 23. Fans have just ten more opportunities to see her perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace before she takes her hiatus. In a recent interview, the 36-year-old singer expressed her desire for a break, stating, “I don’t have any plans for new music at all,” highlighting her discomfort with fame and her intention to explore other creative avenues temporarily.

Adele‘s Las Vegas stint began in November 2022, and it will officially end after her last performance on November 23. Before this, she will take the stage in Munich at a custom-built stadium with a capacity of 80,000 on several dates in August.

During her career, Adele has typically taken extended breaks. After her first album in 2008, it was three years before her next release in 2011, followed by four years until her 2015 album and then six years until her latest album in 2021. She noted that the 100 shows over the last two years have drained her considerably.

In December, Adele shared with The Hollywood Reporter that she isn’t ready to start on any new projects yet, including any potential albums, as she is currently not feeling the urge to create new music. However, she has shown interest in acting, mentioning a particular movie project she’d like to take on once the script is ready.

Adele has not committed to any album plans in the near future, but during a January performance, she hinted that she might be open to touring again once she feels ready to return to music. At this time, her spokesperson has not provided further details regarding her upcoming plans.
