Adele Ends Las Vegas Residency Amid Emotional Goodbye and Future Uncertainties

At the iconic Colosseum Theatre at Caesars Palace, Adele marked the end of her “Weekends With Adele” residency with an emotional goodbye, casting doubts about when she might perform again. During her final show on Saturday, the celebrated singer shared heartfelt sentiments with her audience, highlighting her current ambivalence about returning to the stage.

“It’s been wonderful and I will miss it terribly, and I will miss you terribly,” Adele expressed to her fans, her voice thick with emotion. The uncertainty in her future plans was palpable as she confessed, “I don’t know when I next want to perform again. I’m not doing anything else. I’m actually shitting myself about what I am going to do. I don’t have any fucking plans.”

The residency, which began in November 2022, was initially seen as a step back from her bustling music career, allowing her some respite and a chance to explore other creative endeavors. In July, Adele made it clear that she was not planning to release new music anytime soon, signaling a significant hiatus from her musical activities. “I don’t have any plans for new music, at all,” she revealed, committing to a substantial break.

Yet, in her closing remarks, Adele hinted at a possible return, comforting her audience with her enduring passion for music. “The only thing I’m good at is singing,” she stated firmly. “I just don’t know when I want to next come on stage, but I love you.”

Choosing a residency over a traditional tour was a deliberate decision influenced by her desire to maintain a stable life for her son, Angelo. “I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal,” Adele noted, underlining the personal sacrifices made for family stability.

Throughout the residency, Adele also found moments of profound personal significance, such as the attendance of Celine Dion, a major influence on her decision to perform at the Colosseum. “I am emotional but also, just so you know, I got closure when Celine Dion came to my show a few weeks ago,” she recounted. “I cried for a whole week … It was just such a full-circle moment for me because that’s the only reason I ever wanted to be in here.”

As Adele steps away from the Las Vegas spotlight, her future in music remains tantalizingly uncertain, leaving fans eagerly awaiting her next move, even as she embraces a well-deserved break.
