Christie Brinkley Shares Hamptons Style Tips and Unveils New Shirtdress from Her Hamptons-Inspired Line TwrHll on ‘Today’

Christie Brinkley appeared on “Today” on Tuesday to promote her new clothing line, TwrHll, named after her Hamptons estate, Tower Hill. For the show, she wore a navy button-up shirtdress from her collection, paired with neon patent leather slingbacks and a woven tote. Hairdresser Mitch Barry styled her blonde hair with side-swept bangs, and makeup artist Sandy Linter gave her a rosy blush and glossy coral lip.

During her chat with hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, Brinkley shared tips on achieving Hamptons style. “I think it’s when your outfit looks just as good with a pair of tennis shoes or espadrilles or bare feet,” she explained. “It’s got that kind of casual softness to it. Comfort is very important.”

As the 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl, Brinkley showcased some of her favorite TwrHll outfit combinations with the help of models who walked the “Today” show’s makeshift catwalk.

Earlier in the program, Brinkley, who recently turned 70, talked about aging in the public eye. “There’s nothing to fear; it really is an amazing time,” she said. “You kind of don’t really care what other people think about you. You just have fun.”

She also discussed her struggle with self-confidence after first appearing in Sports Illustrated in the 1970s. “I did not want to be in a bathing suit in front of people, because they perfect you,” Brinkley shared. “Real life is real life, and I felt like I had to live up to people’s expectations. That’s something that goes by the wayside when you turn 70.”

Throughout her legendary modeling career, Brinkley has graced over 500 magazine covers. She landed her first SI Swimsuit cover in 1979.
