YG is back with new tunes. The Compton rapper took to Instagram to tease his latest single “Run” which drops on Friday (June 24) and features appearances from Bia, Tygaand 21 Savage.
The release arrives just days after YG teased its existence on Instagram, posting a photo of him and Tyga shooting the music video while donning White Chicks-influenced makeup.
“Run” follows YG’s previously released track “Scared Money,” which the Compton rapper dropped back in February. Both songs are expected to appear on his forthcoming full-length offering.
Scheduled to hit DSPs later this year, Pray For Me will mark YG’s first project since last year’s collaborative album with Mozzy, Kommunity Service, while serving as the official follow-up to his 2020 LP My Life 4Hunnid.
“The music is just gonna be my truth, as far as my life right now,” YG said about the album in a conversation with Power 106.1 that happened earlier this year. “It’s just the growth of me, my headspace, what I’m on in life. And I think the whole COVID pandemic shit, I hated it, but I also look at it as like this shit kinda helped me get to where I’m at mentally.”
