The Colombian-born singer-songwriter is the face of Versace’s Men’s Spring/Summer 2022 campaign. This marks his first campaign with the luxury fashion house that was founded by the late Gianni Versace.
“Maluma has long been a part of my Versace family and I’m so excited for him to star in his first campaign with Versace,” Donatella Versace said in a statement. “I loved the way he played with the camera and the fact that he was as much at ease in front of the camera as he is in front of a stadium full of people singing his songs!”
The Reggaeton star described the tie up as a “dream come true” to continue “representing Colombia globally through music, fashion and much more.”
“Fashion is one of my biggest passions outside of music and being part of Donatella’s vision, and the Versace family, is an honour,” he added.
The campaign photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott features the singer wearing tailored looks in bold colours as well as a baseball jacket embroidered with the brand’s logos. The imagery includes photos of the singer alongside his dog, Buda.
