BIGHIT MUSIC announced today (October 12) that BTS‘ Jimin will be releasing a vinyl edition of his groundbreaking debut solo album, ‘FACE’. Originally unveiled in March, ‘FACE’ marked Jimin’s official solo debut, following a series of solo tracks shared on Soundcloud. The vinyl version of the album is now available for pre-order in South Korea and Japan, and fans in the US and Europe can secure their copies from 11 am KST (10 pm ET) on October 18. Shipments are scheduled to commence on December 8 in Korea, December 15 in Japan, and January 12, 2024, in the US and Europe.
“It resonated deeply with the fans for its authentic expression of the emotions he had felt over the past two years,” stated the Weverse announcement about ‘FACE’. “To express our gratitude for your tremendous support, we’re making ‘FACE’ available on vinyl.”
This exciting news comes hot on the heels of the announcement of Jimin’s upcoming solo documentary film, ‘Jimin’s Production Diary’, set to premiere on Weverse on October 23. The film promises an intimate glimpse into Jimin’s creative process, offering viewers a closer look at his candid emotions and thoughts while working on the album. The teaser trailer released so far showcases Jimin engrossed in the studio, illustrating his dedication to his craft.
‘FACE’ not only captivated listeners but also made history, with Jimin becoming the first South Korean solo artist to achieve a Number One single on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart.
