Venezuelan artist Chesko invites the pop group SHEISA to collaborate on the song “Fugaz.” For those who don’t know, Cristy and Chesko are siblings and it’s the first time they are working together, so the new single is extra special for them both.
Chesko wrote “Fugaz” during the pandemic, in a moment of loneliness. Seeking to make the best of the situation, the talented songwriter describes that feeling of being very close to seeing someone dear.
“Fugaz” generates a warm fuzzy feeling, combining sounds from Latin pop and other acoustic genres. However, the most beautiful factor is the combination of the voices between man and woman. Originally, Cristy sang harmonies on the demo as a “ghost singer,” but it immediately became clear that the song sounded better with her singing the full verse.
In a recent press release, Chesko said that “Fugaz” is “an incredibly special song for me for several reasons. First, because it was a song that helped me see the positive side of the quarantine and lift my spirits, knowing that better times were coming. Second, because I had the great honor of collaborating with SHEISA that I have admired since its beginning, and particularly with my sister Cristy who accompanies me on the song with her voice.”
“Fugaz” was produced by Armando Añez and mixed by Julian Bernal.
