Pharrell Williams, the creative director for Louis Vuitton men’s wear, opened Paris Fashion Week with a stunning outdoor show at UNESCO headquarters on June 18. The event featured a turf-lined runway and showcased the brand’s spring-summer 2025 collection, inspired by travel. The setting included a massive globe sculpture, international flags, and the distant Eiffel Tower.
Models walked the grass runway in sharply tailored suits, stylish bomber jackets, and fur coats. Accessories included rhinestone-studded sunglasses and bold airplane-wing brooches. The show was accompanied by an orchestra and choir performing music produced by Pharrell Williams.
The event attracted an audience of 1,500 and drew crowds of fans outside hoping to see celebrity guests like NBA star Victor Wembanyama, actor Michael Fassbender, and K-pop sensation Jackson Wang. Paris Fashion Week, followed by Haute Couture week, is happening amid France’s preparation for the summer Olympics and upcoming elections, adding to the country’s busy atmosphere.
High-end fashion brands are currently facing challenges, particularly with a decline in demand from the key Chinese market, affecting their overall sales.
