In a recent interview with Knox News, Dolly Parton hinted at Beyoncé‘s venture into the realm of country music. Parton, known for her iconic song ‘Jolene,’ discussed Beyoncé’s latest singles, ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ and ’16 Carriages,’ along with her upcoming album, ‘Renaissance Act II.’
Addressing rumors about Beyoncé covering ‘Jolene’ on her new album, Parton revealed, “Well, I think she has. I think she’s recorded ‘Jolene,’ and I think it’s probably gonna be on her country album, which I’m very excited about.” Expressing her admiration for Beyoncé, Parton added, “I love her! She’s a beautiful girl and a great singer.”
This marks another instance of Parton showing her support for Beyoncé. Following the announcement of ‘Renaissance Act II’ and the release of ‘Texas Hold ‘Em,’ the single secured the top spot on the US country charts, making Beyoncé the first Black woman to achieve this feat.
