Dua Lipa has sent her fans into a frenzy with a mysterious teaser post on social media on October 27, hinting at the imminent arrival of new music.
Speculation about a new musical era began earlier this month when the ‘One Kiss’ singer wiped her Instagram profile clean and uploaded a fresh profile picture. Now, Dua Lipa has further fueled the excitement by sharing a close-up image featuring a small key between her teeth, accompanied by the intriguing caption “catch me or I go…”.
Fans have eagerly anticipated the follow-up to Dua Lipa’s 2020 album ‘Future Nostalgia’ for a while now. Last year, she mentioned to Elton John that the album was “50 per cent done,” but later revised her statement in December. In an interview with New York Times Magazine this August, it was confirmed that the album is set to drop in 2024.
Additionally, there have been rumors circulating about a collaboration with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, a speculation that Lipa seemed to all but confirm while being interviewed.
In a surprising twist, Dua Lipa hinted that her third album would take a different musical direction, revealing, “The album is still pop, but it’s different sonically, and there’s a stronger lyrical theme. If I disclosed the title, everything would fall into place – but I guess we’ll have to wait for that revelation.”
