English heartthrob, Harry Styles, enchanted his fans when he debuted his acting career with Dunkirk. Ever since his appearance in the Christopher Nolan feature, the international musician has dazzled the audience with his performances and scored significant roles in films like Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman. But perhaps one of the biggest surprises was his cameo in Eternals, where he plays Eros, Thanos’ half-brother.
Directed by Chloe Zhao, the movie follows a group of superhumans who have lived on Earth since its beginning and are brought together to save the world from its doom. Styles’ character is one of the most politically incorrect heroes in the Marvel universe. Although Harry made a brief appearance, the end suggested that fans will be seeing more of his story in the future.
Nate Moore, the producer, spoke about Eros recently, “We didn’t cast Harry for a tag, more stories to be told with that character. He has an interesting connection with Thanos, they’re half-brothers and share the same father. He’s a complicated character, but a really fun character.”
Eros is famous for his eccentric powers that include the ability to control emotions. The cosmic character would fit perfectly in other franchises as well, such as Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers. Maybe Harry Styles will be one of the next heroes to save the universe, who knows!
