SZA has returned with new songs and the much-awaited release date for her second album. SZA revealed that “S.O.S.” will be published on Friday, December 9, while making her third appearance as a musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend. The singer won’t have released an album in more than five years.
The 33-year-old posted a video montage of herself as her new song “Blind” is playing to further announce the album’s debut in December. The news follows SZA’s Oct. 28 release of her single “Shirt.” The R&B performer’s most recent album, the Grammy-nominated “Ctrl,” was published in 2017, and a deluxe version with seven more tracks followed in 2022.

SZA has been active even if she hasn’t put out an album in a while. She received her first Grammy this year. For their duet “Kiss Me More,” Doja Cat and SZA won the prize for best pop duo/group performance in April.
She has collaborated with well-known musicians on songs for the “Blank Panther” film, including “Beautiful,” “The Other Side,” and “All the Stars,” while also earning 14 Grammy nominations since 2018. I Hate U and Good Days are just a couple of the tunes from SZA that have gained a lot of online traction.
