After his explosive track “Life Is What We’re Living” garnered millions of plays and streams, Riotron is readily sharing another booming hit his audience will most certainly appreciate. “Drop A Bomb” is a brand-new collab with the one and only Big Freedia, who was just recently featured in Beyoncé’s new hit “Break My Soul.” The song has a really fun and vibrant animated music video in the works.
“Drop A Bomb” is a powerful track filled with high energy and razor-sharp synths. The lyrics paint a vivid picture and empower the listener to own who they are and everything that comes with their identity, without having to worry about offending anyone. In truth, accepting our truest selves is perhaps one of the hardest things to do, and Jeff Fettes (aka Riotron) and Big Freedia certainly get their point across.
“We have been mutual fans of each other for a while, so I was happy to collaborate on this,” Freedia said about the collaboration. Riotron also shared some thoughts: ““I had wanted a throwback 90’s style rap interlude on the song and thought, imagine if someone like “Big Freedia” just exploded into a 3rd verse right here. Freedia was on tour and stopped into a studio in Cincinnati for an evening and just did it. The first time I heard it, I literally jumped out of my chair and said, Yes! This!”
With his debut year including over 40 Million views on YouTube, Co-signs from Marshmello & R3HAB, Remixes by Black Caviar and Wuki, features in Billboard and Instinct Magazine and an HMMA award for best Indie pop song (“I’m Sorry”), the Canadian indie-pop artist has been super busy. Riotron’s music will have the crowds on their feet till morning thanks to beautifully executed electronic synth-pop arrangements and authentic messages. “Drop A Bomb” is already beyond 100K streams ao make sure to check it out below!
