Neneh Cherry Announces New Album “The Versions”, Shares “Manchild” Featuring Sia

Neneh Cherry has released The Versions, a new album that features modified versions of her songs performed by musicians that have a personal connection to her music. It’ll be available on June 10th. Cherry has invited Sia to rework her 1989 hit “Manchild” for the occasion.

Sia said in a press release, “Neneh was my favorite actress when she hit the scene. I had packed my pocket for the red Filas and dreamed that one day we would meet. When I was struggling with my mental health in my early twenties, I was in their home being cared for as if I were one of their own children. I called her husband during the suicide attempt, who taught me to be a great music producer, and they gave I have all the love I have ever wanted. ”
