Universal Music Group NV and their label 10:22PM announced the very first virtual band made up of four Apes named Kingship. The Apes are part of the Bored Apes Yacht Club NFT collection whose leading collector Jimmy McNelis agreed to collaborate with 10:22PM.
The tokens will be turned into 3D beings and will be given cool backstories to be introduced to fans. “The company will record music for Kingship that it releases on streaming services. The “band” will perform and participate in video games, virtual-reality applications and across the constellation of digital experiences known as the metaverse,” Lucas Shaw from Bloomberg News said.
