Rihanna’s new documentary will premiere on Apple TV+ next year – what’s the focus? Rihanna‘s headlining Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show performance.
Apple has reported to be spending several millions of dollars on this documentary, which may follow Rihanna’s return to the music industry after having her first child earlier this year.
In November, Rihanna released her first single in six years, featured on the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” soundtrack. But with her Super Bowl performance lined up, Rihanna said that she does not have plans to release an album anytime soon.
This postponement of new music is likely because of the long documentary filming process. “If I’m going to leave my baby, I’m going to leave my baby for something special,” Rihanna said of her decision to perform. “It was now or never for me.”
Rihanna also announced on her Twitter the release of Vol. 4 of her Savage X Fenty show on Prime Video. Fans positively responded to this announcement, but several tweets are still asking Rihanna when her next album will be surfacing.
