A week after Adam Levine teased his first Spanish-speaking single, “Ojalá,” with Colombian star Malumaand The Rudeboyz in a 20-second TikTok video, we now have the official music video.
The hot video starts off with The Rudeboyz — a.k.a. Chan El Genio and Kevin ADG — driving while at the same time paying attention to the “extraordinary” beat they recently delivered and sharing how incredible it is have Maluma and Levine on the tune.
“We’d kill it. Could you at any point envision? That would be a fantasy,” they say.
Next we hear the Maroon 5 vocalist and Wed Me star exchanging refrains about moving past the disaster of losing a young lady. While Adam gets going singing in Spanish, he changes to English later in the tune.
Levine originally indicated a potential joint effort with Maluma back in June, posting a photograph on Instagram of them in a recording studio, subtitled, “World ain’t ready.”
As well as being Maluma’s long-term colleagues, The Rudeboyz have delivered hits for craftsmen like Shakira, Sech, Jennifer Lopez, Sovereign Royce and Sebastián Yatra.
