Frankie Garcia, a.k.a. Cruz Rock releases the new single “Perreo Dura,” which is a flawless mashup of his ancestral legacy. The Latin Caribbean singer-songwriter instantly lures in the listeners with this fusion of Caribbean, American, and Latin rhythms.
The producer from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands traces his heritage back to Trinidad & Tobago and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Born to a Trinidadian mother and a Puerto Rican father Cruz Rock was exposed to two very influential cultures. This multicultural upbringing gave him a unique but familiar sound. Compared to artists like Sean Paul and Super Cat, Garcia has been crowned as the Caribbean genres’ next big talent.
Cruz Rock lives by the line “To dream is to believe.” The up-and-coming star has already made waves with his 2017 LP Soul Rebel, winning Best Reggae Album at the Indie Music Awards. L3 magazine named him “Break Out Caribbean Artist,” giving a kickstart to the “Perreo Dura” artist’s promising career.
