His first new material in quite a while, it circles back to 2019’s raving success debut collection ‘Supernaturally Deadened to a Horrendous Degree’.
Making sense of the motivation from the track, Lewis chose to compose his own public statement, which you can look at underneath.
The single was delivered alongside a verse video, yet Lewis has now shared the authority music video which he portrayed similar to his “most loved video that has at any point been made by anyone ever” during an Instagram Story in front of its delivery.
After being nervous to return to releasing music, Lewis said: “Thank you so much for all the support on ‘Forget Me’ so far, it’s been the best reaction we’ve had day one to a song ever, and it’s genuinely blown me away.”
He continued: “It genuinely means the world to me that people are still there listening and care.
“I didn’t know what was going to happen when we came back, I didn’t know if people were going to be interested or want to hear a song from me after all this time away.
“It genuinely means the world to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, it’s nice to know that some people still care.”
On the day of its release he also revealed that the song had 1 million streams on Spotify, and the vinyls and CDs were quickly selling out.
