After announcing his new album Melt My Eyez See Your Future this month, Denzel Curry has shared the first single and cinematic video, “Walkin.”
Curry also announced tour dates for an upcoming run that will lead him across North America and Europe.
The visual was directed by Adrian Villagomez. In the video, Curry makes a trek across a desert planet before facing off with John Wayne. During the shootout, Curry uses a blaster pistol reminiscent of Han Solo’s iconic sidearm. You can watch the music video for “Walkin” below.

Based on the new video, the official trailer for the album and some of the other imagery Curry has shared, Melt My Eyez will be a sonic and visual departure from past projects. He spoke about the new album in a press release.
“I like traditional hip-hop, I like drum and bass, I like trap, I like poetry, so a lot of that is going to be interwoven in this album, including jazz and a lot of genres that I came up on as a kid and just being in my parents’ house. This album is made up of everything that I couldn’t give you on TA13OO or Imperial because I was going through depression anger issues.”
