Doja Cat Teases Fans With Cryptic Snippets of Potential New Music

Doja Cat continues to spark excitement among her fans with a series of intriguing social media posts hinting at new music. The rapper, known for her chart-topping hits and bold persona, shared a sequence of brief, enigmatic videos on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend, suggesting that fresh material may be on the horizon.

The first clip, posted on November 30 and titled “Let’s about it,” shows the artist dressed in all black, seemingly about to speak before the video cuts off abruptly. Another post, captioned “my bad yall,” features Doja appearing to apologize. She begins, “Ok, I’m sorry. I’ve just been like f—ing with you guys this entire time and I feel like it’s rude and I apologize for that. So, I do wanna talk about basically…” before the clip ends mid-sentence, leaving fans guessing.

The final video in the series provided the most tantalizing moment yet. In the minute-long clip, Doja previewed snippets from nine unreleased tracks, pausing each one before ending the video with a mischievous smile. These posts have only fueled speculation that the Grammy-winning artist is gearing up for a follow-up to her 2023 album, Scarlet.

Earlier this month, Doja posted—and quickly deleted—a 13-song tracklist on social media, highlighting five tracks with titles like “Cards,” “Acts of Service,” and “Crack.” Additionally, a since-deleted Instagram post featured a photo dump captioned “red 5,” which many fans believe could hint at her upcoming fifth studio album. Among the images was a new tattoo on her foot reading “Red” in bold red ink.

Doja’s most recent album, Scarlet, released in September 2023, was a critical and commercial success. It peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 2 on the Top Rap Albums chart. In May, she followed up with the deluxe edition, Scarlet 2 CLAUDE.

With her playful yet elusive approach, Doja Cat has once again managed to keep her audience engaged and eager for what’s next. Fans will have to wait and see whether these snippets signal a full project or another layer to her dynamic persona.
