Brazilian-American pop artist Laura Pieri just dropped a simmering new remix of her 2024 track “Daughter of Demeter,” and it’s anything but a repeat. Titled “Daughter of Demeter (ON THE DANCEFLOOR),” the track trades rage for rhythm, turning heartbreak into something hypnotic, sultry, and defiantly poised for the club.
Originally featured on her Frankie EP, the original “Daughter of Demeter” was a raw, volcanic eruption of emotion—full of screams, defiance, and catharsis. But in this new reimagining, Laura Pieri channels that same fire into something more controlled, slower-burning, and emotionally layered.
“This remix is what happens when that fire simmers into something slower, sharper, and slyer,” Laura Pieri explains. “The fury isn’t gone. There’s a defiance in turning pain into pleasure, and that’s what this version does: it lounges in heartbreak with style. It’s rage on vacation.”

Built on sleek beats and moody textures, “Daughter of Demeter (ON THE DANCEFLOOR)” signals a shift not just in sound but in perspective. Laura Pieri softens the sonic aggression but keeps the emotional weight, exploring how grief, healing, and feminine strength can all coexist—especially when backed by a club-ready pulse.
“Sometimes healing looks like dancing,” she says. “Sometimes grief shows up in a slow sway.”
The track will appear on Frankie (ON THE DANCEFLOOR), an expanded edition of her Frankie EP set to drop later this summer, which also includes a remix of “Sea of Tragedy.” Like the original EP, this new version continues the arc of a woman reclaiming her narrative—only now she’s doing it with more control and groove.
