Montreal-based singer-songwriter Annabel Gutherz has released a new single titled “Summer’s Here,” a breezy, guitar-led track that leans into the warmth and stillness of the season. The song arrives as the artist’s latest offering since her 2021 debut album Loose Ends, showcasing her continued growth as both a vocalist and songwriter.
Annabel Gutherz recorded “Summer’s Here” in a single live take, teaming up with producer Bleu McAuley, known for his work with Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Michelle Branch. McAuley crafted a stripped-down, intimate production that puts Gutherz’s vocals front and center, with the instrumentation drifting around her in a loose, reflective rhythm.

Annabel Gutherz, who has previously collaborated with Grammy-winning songwriter Bonnie Hayes, leans into her narrative style on this track. “I wrote ‘Summer’s Here’ while I was sitting on the balcony of my apartment, guitar in hand, taking in the sounds, smells, and feel of the season,” she shared. “It’s about the stillness of summertime, the present moment, and the peace that can be found therein.”
The track trades big choruses and high-energy hooks for something more personal and atmospheric. Annabel Gutherz mixes folk-pop elements with a relaxed vocal delivery, creating a sound that feels rooted in experience rather than trend. Her lyrical approach favors specificity and reflection, capturing what she describes as “a fleeting moment of joy.”
“Summer’s Here” adds a new layer to Annabel Gutherz’s catalog, one that prioritizes presence and emotional honesty. As the single gains traction across streaming platforms, it positions Gutherz as an emerging voice in the indie pop space—one with a clear vision and a talent for translating quiet moments into memorable songs.
