Sleigh Bells Announces Spring Tour and New Album ‘Bunky Becky Birthday Boy’

Sleigh Bells, the Brooklyn-based noise pop duo consisting of Alexis Krauss and Derek E. Miller, have announced their upcoming album titled Bunky Becky Birthday Boy, set to be released on April 4, 2025, via Mom+Pop Music. This marks their first album since 2021’s Texis.

The band has shared a new track from the album called Bunky Pop,” accompanied by a music video. This song is described as a vibrant mix of metallic drumming and energetic guitar riffs, aiming to capture the essence of joy reminiscent of a dog’s happiest moments. Miller explained that “Bunky Pop” serves as a thematic anchor for the entire album, which incorporates elements of both autobiography and fiction, featuring a character named Roxette Ric alongside Bunky Becky, named after Krauss’s late dog, Riz.

Miller elaborated on the album’s title, noting that it reflects both loss and new beginnings—Riz passed away in December 2023, shortly before Krauss welcomed her son Wilder into the world. He emphasized that while the title may sound whimsical, it carries profound emotional significance related to love and remembrance.

The album Bunky Becky Birthday Boy will include the following tracks:

  1. Bunky Pop
  2. Wanna Start a Band?
  3. Life Was Real
  4. Roxette Ric
  5. This Summer
  6. Can I Scream
  7. Badly
  8. Blasted Shadow
  9. Real Special Cool Thing
  10. Hi Someday
  11. Pulse Drips Quiet

To promote the new album, Sleigh Bells will embark on a North American tour starting in May 2025, with tickets already available for purchase.
