Beyoncé is set to bring a special holiday performance to this year’s NFL Christmas Day game, announcing her halftime appearance during the Baltimore Ravens versus Houston Texans match, which will be broadcast live on Netflix. This performance is scheduled for Wednesday, December 25, marking the second game of the day to stream on Netflix as part of its new initiative to host live NFL games.
Netflix’s venture into live sports includes airing two marquee NFL Christmas Day games globally. Earlier in the day, the Super Bowl LVII champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, will go head-to-head with the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. ET. Following that, at 4:30 p.m. ET, the Texans will host the Ravens at Houston’s NRG Stadium, where Beyoncé will take center stage during halftime.
The halftime show will be produced by Beyoncé’s own Parkwood Entertainment and Jesse Collins Entertainment. This event will feature the first live performance from Beyoncé’s latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” adding a personal touch as the artist returns to her hometown of Houston for the holiday season.
Beyoncé is no stranger to the NFL stage, having performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2013 with a memorable Destiny’s Child reunion, and again in 2016 alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars, which became one of the most-watched Super Bowl halftime shows in history.
Details of Beyoncé’s performance are still under wraps, but expectations are high for a show filled with special surprises and guest appearances.
