Paul Russell Releases Introductory Single “Homecoming” from Debut EP

Platinum recording artist Paul Russell is set to release his debut EP, Again Sometime?, on August 30th through Arista Records. To mark the occasion, Russell has unveiled the lead single, “Homecoming.”

Paul Russell describes Again Sometime? as the first chapter in a planned series of storytelling EPs. “Homecoming” serves as an introduction to this narrative, offering a glimpse into the EP’s exploration of love through a series of seven scenes. The track reflects Russell’s personal evolution and the joy of returning to one’s roots while embracing change.

The EP will feature three new tracks alongside previously released hits: “Slippin” (a collaboration with Meghan Trainor), “Say Cheese,” “Eat Pray Love,” and “Lil Boo Thang.” The latter has achieved over 550 million streams and was recently included on former President Obama’s summer playlist. “Say Cheese” was highlighted as one of the best hip-hop songs of the year by HipHopDX, and “Eat Pray Love” received a summer remix from Free Nationals.

Russell’s live performances have taken him to notable venues including the White House and American Idol, and he joined Teddy Swims on his first European tour. The artist is also scheduled to join Meghan Trainor on her North American arena tour this fall.

Paul Russell, a Dallas native, began his musical journey with trumpet lessons and rap battles in school. His eclectic influences range from Anderson .Paak to Louis Armstrong, shaping his dynamic style. After gaining viral attention with his early uploads, Russell moved to Los Angeles, where he released the independent anthem “Hallelujah” and the hit “Ms. Poli Sci,” which has garnered over 37 million streams. His debut single with Arista Records, “Lil Boo Thang,” became an international success. Russell’s recent singles and collaborations continue to build on his growing reputation as a rising star in the music industry.
