Lady Gaga Hints at Engagement to Michael Polansky at 2024 Olympics in Paris

Lady Gaga appears to have announced her engagement to Michael Polansky while introducing him to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. In a clip shared by the prime minister on TikTok Sunday night (July 28), Gaga is heard casually referring to Polansky as her fiancé. The video shows Attal briefly hugging Gaga and shaking hands with Polansky, who has been her partner for over four years.

Gaga and Polansky have been publicly dating since early 2020, making their relationship Instagram official with a post that February. A few months later, Gaga described Polansky as “the love of my life”.

Prime Minister Attal did not mention the couple’s engagement in his TikTok post, instead highlighting Gaga’s impressive performance at the opening ceremony: “Thank you Lady Gaga for your stunning performance at the opening ceremony,” he wrote. “It was breathtaking.”

The superstar, who will play Harley Quinn in the upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux alongside Joaquin Phoenix, was the first artist to perform during the Olympic opening ceremony. Gaga delivered a Parisian cabaret-style performance of the French song “Mon Truc en Plume” (“My Thing With Feathers”), in a playful routine that led her from a long staircase to a piano.

While in France, Lady Gaga surprised her fans on Sunday by sharing a sneak peek of music from her highly anticipated seventh studio album. A dance-ready snippet and another teaser with a rock influence were played from a vehicle’s rooftop, with Gaga pumping her fist as fans cheered. She even joined a crowd sing-along of her hit “Always Remember Us This Way” from A Star Is Born.

“I’m so deeply touched by my French fans this week outside the hotel,” Gaga wrote in an Instagram Story before coming outside to play the song. “I’m going to come out and say goodbye tonight with a few seconds of #LG7.” The upcoming album, still untitled, will follow her 2020 Billboard 200 chart-topping album Chromatica, which was her sixth album to debut at No. 1.
