Matt Dillon Stars in MCM’s Fall Campaign

Matt Dillon takes center stage in MCM‘s latest fall campaign, titled “From München to Mars,” inspired by both the company’s German heritage and visions of Mars.

Sung-Joo Kim, the owner and chief visionary officer of MCM, expressed pride in Dillon’s participation: “It was an honor to have him join us. Matt Dillon’s professionalism and his resonant connection with MCM’s ideology as a modern trailblazer make him a perfect fit.”

Kim highlighted the brand’s aim for timelessness, focusing on an attitude and mindset rather than targeting a specific age demographic. He noted the influence of Hollywood’s fascination with space exploration, as seen in films like Stanley Kubrick‘s “Contact” and Christopher Nolan‘s “Interstellar,” which align with MCM’s theme of exploring new boundaries.

Dillon, whose credentials include roles in “Drugstore Cowboy,” “Crash,” “Wild Things,” and the recent “Asteroid City,” also portrayed Marlon Brando in “Being Maria,” which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival this year. At 60, Dillon exemplifies a career shaped by autonomy and charismatic influence, qualities that align with MCM’s brand values.

During their presentation in Milan last February, MCM showcased a NASA-themed film about Mars and introduced their fall collection, featuring items such as silver and ice gray backpacks, moon boots, and sparkly shoes.

The campaign highlights the Diamant 3D bag, known for its robust zippers, alongside futuristic eyewear, backpacks, and attire, including the classic Cognac Visetos canvas and silvery leather options.
