Princess Charlene of Monaco made a striking appearance in a fiery-red Elie Saab jumpsuit during the inaugural day of a new museum exhibit in Monaco on Thursday. Accompanied by her husband, Prince Albert II of Monaco, who spoke at the opening, the exhibit titled “La flamme Olympique au fil des temps” showcases the evolution of the Olympic torch through history. These items are part of Prince Albert II’s personal collection and highlight the design transformations and the cultural reflections of each host country.
As a former Olympic swimmer for South Africa, Princess Charlene, along with Prince Albert, who participated in five Winter Olympics as a bobsleigh competitor for Monaco, both share a deep connection with the Olympics. For this event, Princess Charlene wore a sleeveless jumpsuit that featured a deep neckline, wide-legged pants, and a golden embellishment at the neckline. She completed her outfit with strappy gold sandals and minimal jewelry, choosing only a pair of simple earrings. Her styling was marked by a neat pixie cut and makeup that included smoky eyeshadow and a bold red lipstick, echoing the event’s vibrant theme.
Previously, Princess Charlene showcased another Elie Saab creation at the Rose Ball in March to support The Princess Grace Foundation, where she opted for a ’70s-style sequined jumpsuit. More recently, she adopted the monochrome trend, wearing a crisp white power suit at a gathering with Monaco’s Olympic team on June 27, a choice reflecting popular European daytime fashion trends.
Throughout the years, Princess Charlene has maintained a versatile wardrobe, effortlessly switching between jumpsuits, gowns, and power suits, showing a consistent flair for adapting to various styles with ease.
