Lana Del Rey Drops New Single “A&W”

Lana Del Rey has confirmed that she will release a new album, “Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” this spring. The album was originally scheduled to be released on March 10, 2023, but the date has been pushed to March 24, with a box set and merchandise also being made available. Lana has already released the title track of the album, a beautiful ballad about longing, which was posted to her official YouTube page.

The album will contain 16 tracks, and according to a fan account, there will be a four-minute interlude featuring Pastor Judah Smith that is chaotic, strange, and random, with Lana humming and giggling while the pastor shouts a sermon. There will also be six songs on the album that are five minutes or longer.

Lana has collaborated with a number of notable artists, including Jon Batiste, Bleachers, Father John Misty, Judah Smith, Tommy Genesis, and SYML, and finished recording the album in September 2022. She also wrote a song called “Margaret” about producer Jack Antonoff’s fiancé, which landed in the middle of the album and felt entirely effortless to produce, according to Lana.

The album will be Lana’s first full-length release since “Blue Banisters” in October 2021, which came only five months after “Chemtrails Over the Country Club,” released in March 2021. Lana’s fans were also treated to “Watercolor Eyes,” which she recorded for Euphoria’s second season, and may have heard some of the new music after Lana’s laptop, cameras, and hard drives were stolen from her car in October.

Despite the theft, Lana has managed to finish the album and has even hinted that the title could have been “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd Pearl Watch Me on Ring a Bell Psycho Lifeguard.” However, she thankfully decided to edit it down.
