South Korean Bangtan Boys, aka BTS, have great news for their ARMY. Disney Plus will be releasing a documentary series about them in 2023 titled BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star. The highly anticipated show will feature unreleased footage of the K-Pop icons from their early days to becoming global sensations.
The music docu-series features BTS’ seven members Jung Kook, V, Jimin, Kin, SUGA, RM, and j-hope. It depicts their journey to stardom and uncovers the untold side of their daily lives. The Pop icons will unveil new details about themselves, sharing a compilation of music and video footage shot over the span of nine years.
In a 45 second short preview, BTS reveal that they have a very special invitation for their fans, “a new documentary series that contains stories of our growth and of our music from our debut to today. BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star is coming your way. We invite you all to the stories of our Blood, Sweat, and Tears. It shares candid stories that have never been told, so please look forward to it.”
During the summer, BTS surprised their followers and announced that they are taking a temporary break. The short-term separation is because of the members’ military duties and desire to focus more on their solo careers. The main vocalist, Jungkook, already kicked off his solo act with the World Cup song “Dreamers,” which comes off his debut album Indigo.
