Hollywood hunk, Chris Evans, is officially this year’s “Sexiest Man Alive.” People magazine gave the title to the Captain America star, as he joins the league of handsome men. His Marvel co-stars like Paul Rudd, Chris Hemsworth, and Ryan Reynolds were among the previous winners.
Evans isn’t taking himself too seriously though. In fact he’s expecting a good round of teasing from his friends, “Really this will just be a point of bullying, it’s ripe for harassment. This whole thing is tough to be interviewed about. It feels like a weird form of humble bragging.”
The 41-year-old’s mother on the other hand will be delighted to hear the news. “My mom will be so happy, she’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about,” admits the actor.
Chris Evans is at the peak of his career. He’s had an amazing year, starring in Pixar’s Lightyear, Netflix’s Gray Man and many more upcoming movies that are to be released in 2023. Talking about his choices and how he decides what role to take, Evans says, “When it comes to seeking out the people I play it’s more of an issue of where the movie shoots, I’m too old to be living out of a suitcase for six months and I’ve settled into a nicer phase where I’m just happy being at home.”
The Marvel superhero feels more relaxed at this point in his life, confessing, “The most enjoyable aspect of my career right now is feeling secure enough to take my foot off the gas, I feel like I have a bit more freedom to take time away from the industry and still find projects that will satisfy my creative appetite when I return.”
