Madison Brew has delivered her most recent single “Showed Me (How I Fell head over heels for You)” through Amazing Records. “Showed Me” is the latest track to come from Brew’s approaching undertaking, the development to her crush debut Life Backing. The authority video for “Showed Me” additionally makes its presentation with a MTV debut.
The provocative return visual for finds her in the job of a genuine femme fatale. With looks from LaQuan Smith, Balenciaga, and Tom Portage’s Gucci, the video sees Madison reclaiming power from a clueless playboy. The strutting single, co-composed by Madison, and video introduce another time for the craftsman, one that sees her growing her sonic limits and imaginative vision.
“Writing and making the video for ‘Showed Me’ was a really unique experience,” explains Beer. “This song samples The Turtles ‘You Showed Me.’ I’ve never used sampling or interpolation on a song before, but I’m always looking for new ways to experiment in the studio and pay homage to the classic sounds and melodies I loved growing up. This song is the perfect culmination of those things.”
“Showed Me” comes on the heels of her most recent release “Dangerous,” an emotional soaring ballad featured on more than 30 New Music Friday playlists across DSPs upon release. Prior to “Dangerous,” she broke her personal best streaming week debut on Spotify with the release of “Reckless,” which currently has over 251 million streams on the platform and over 45 million views on YouTube.
