While Youngster Cudi’s Entergalactic might just be his last full-length collection, fans are requiring in every single second of it.
Three years really taking shape, Cudi shared his hotly anticipated enlivened series and collection on Friday (Sept. 30). Already expressing that Entergalactic was — and is — his “most prominent accomplishment” until this point in time, Cudder visited Apple Music’s Zane Lowe to talk on the double idea of the venture — uncovering that he is “shutting the section on Youngster Cudi.”
Cudi originally announced the series in 2019, as his tenth studio album not only acts as a conduit for the Netflix-curated show, but could be the last of new music from the Cleveland emcee. Nevertheless, the 15-track project has sent fans over the moon with excitement, as Moonman Cudder recruits guests in Steve Aoki, Ty Dolla $ign, 2 Chainz, Don Toliver and Dot Da Genius.
The show is described on Netflix as “mind-bending, offbeat and romantic,” as the trippy animated series follows the love life of two New York residents — Jabari, a charismatic street artist and Meadow, a photographer who he falls for. The animation style is reminiscent of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse and Arcane, another recently released Netflix special. On June 8, Cudi dropped the first teaser for Entergalactic, which featured the album’s lead single “Do What I Want.” It revealed a few juicy details about the animated series, including a preview of the star-studded cast: Timothée Chalamet, Ty Dolla $ign, Vanessa Hudgens, 070 Shake, Jaden Smith, Teyana Taylor, Macaulay Culkin and more.
