Bad Bunny, who released albums YHLQMDLG and EL ÚLTIMO TOUR DEL MUNDO in 2020 received more than 9.1 billion streams worldwide this year, an increase from 8.3 billion last year and topped the most-streamed artists’ chart.
He’s followed by Taylor Swift ( who is the most-streamed woman artist. She released re-records of fan-favorites Red and Fearless this year after dropping evermore and folklore last year ), BTS, Drake and Justin Bieber consecutively on the ranking.
“I don’t do this to be the no. 1 most streamed artist. I just make music,” Bad Buuny about the recognition. “I just enjoy my ‘work.’ I hope 2022 is going to be great.”
