As heartfelt and sincere as always, Raquel Kiaraa is on top of her game in a new album Defying Odds. Eleven stunning songs, a few of which we have already heard, fully display the artist’s vocal talent and her determination to create impactful music. One of the most emotional songs of the album is “Scorpio – Stripped” with a moving music video. It tells the story of falling in love with a Scorpio and the pain and heartbreak that this love brought.

The album’s title, as Raquel explained, has to do with women’s empowerment. Every day women around the world do impossible things; they follow their dreams, reach amazing heights through all the challenges and disappointments of life. This is what Raquel celebrates through her music – stepping into her power and defying odds as she does.
“Love Got Me Sick” is another one of the stunning songs included in the album that has recently gotten a video clip. Raquel Kiaraa sings beautifully, showing off her magnificent voice, dancing among giant pythons that slither away. Vibrant, exciting and melodic, the song already has hundreds of thousands of views.
In only a few years Raquel has already established herself as an impressive force in the industry, receiving international recognition from notable publications such as Billboard, Clash, iHeartRadio, Exclaim, Virgin Radio, Wonderland, and Earmilk. She has also been featured on-air at 99.9 Virgin Radio Toronto with Hattie Pearson of the spinning ‘Try’ as part of her ‘off the shelf’ artist segment, airing in across 4000 Co-Op stores in the UK.
